No more draft exemptions starting tomorrow

It will be very interesting to see what happens.
Here is a graph depicting the meteoric rise in the number of draft exemptions over the last 10 years:

there is a divide between what i feel when i learn Torah and what i see in the world of those that learn Torah. I think this is an area that has not been sufficiently explored even on blogs of skeptical people like myself. I think the person that did the best job of dealing with this issue was rebbi nachman. he claimed that one of the great difficulties in the Jewish people is the presence of Torah scholars that are demons. And he certainly did not disparage the importance of Torah. rather i think he saw that there is some kind of person that decides to use the Torah for their own self aggrandizement.

Nothing will change tomorrow. The law will go by the wayside but the army won't call up any Chareidim and say "Nu? Where are you?"

draft letters will go out. make no mistake about it. but it will not be done in the way that kadima wanted with trumpets and horns.

Slowly but surely. "Perfect" is the enemy of "better".
