Believe it or not this is not a joke. This is actually a real sefer that came out not long ago dealing with people who are in prison.
As the cover above states it deals with the halachos that relate to someone in jail/prison as well mussar/chizuk, stories, and inspiration for the reader/prisoner.
How far have we fallen that someone would write such a sefer? How embarrassing is this to the Torah world?

There was a spoof of this a few years back with a mockup of a page on artscroll's website, now it is apparently real
Here's the spoof:

Jonathan,
You are completely off base here. First of all, the author explains in his introduction, the book is needed because of the increase of haredim in the prisons. Second of all, with all due respect to your scenario, how many religious IDF officers have actually been arrested for war crimes and are sitting in jail? The answer to the best of my knowledge is ZERO. No one writes a whole sefer for far fetched scenarios that may apply to 1 or 2 individuals.
This sefer was written because there are a LOT of Haredim in jail.
